| Lake Istokpoga located in Lake Placid, Florida is one of the best Bass fishing lakes in the United States. This beautiful and "wild lake" was designated as a Fish Management Area by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission in 1998. Largemouth Bass tournaments are the norm here, and fishing for black crappie (specks), sunfish (shellcrackers), and blue gill are very productive. Wild alligators, osprey, snowy egret, bald eagles, and many other wild birds can be seen in there own natural habitat. Wild ducks and frogs are also plentiful all over the lake.
Lake Istokpoga Marina is the newest fishing camp and Rv park in the area. It is owned and operated by the Crowley Family originally from Old Mykka, Sarasota, Fla. and is located at the southwest end of the lake. It is a full service marina to include BOAT STORAGE, WET SLIPS, BOAT RENTALS AND REPAIR, AIRBOAT TOURS, and a TACKLE SHOP for all of your fishing needs including LIVE BAIT and FISHING GUIDE SERVICE.
LAKE FRONT RENTALS are available on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal rate. They are completely furnished and some have screened porches.
Our RV PARK with CLUB HOUSE accomodates 44 RV sites and we have solid pine LOG CABINS for sale and rent.
